The CC-X uses the same components as the outstanding X-1 monitor loudspeaker and provides a timbre-matched option for several other speakers within the Gershman line, including the critically acclaimed AvantGarde and GAP 828. A unique feature of the CC-X is its ability to be used for L/R or LCR arrays due to the speaker's unique shape.
Installing the outside speakers in a 'mirror-imaged' fashion minimizes the effects of first reflections from adjacent room walls to dramatically increase clarity in vocal tracks. While many speakers are quite capable of realistically reproducing the sound effects found in today's movie scores, it is the dialogue that carries the story and it is here where the Gershman Acoustic CC-X truly excels. The CC-X is likewise eminently capable to project stunningly life-like stereo images across the room, making it just as suitable for music reproduction. Utilizing the same constrained-layer method of sandwich construction as first pioneered in the X-1 produces a truly rigid and dense cabinet, with the sloping 'shoulders' minimizing internal reflections. The double-chamber Vifa tweeter is also used in the award-winning AvantGarde.

A custom Gershman-designed 6-inch woofers make up the transducer complement while the crossover network achieves phase accuracy to minimize time-domain perturbations.
